The pawsh dog has impeccable ettiquet and strives to impress those he meets with his large repetoir of tricks. He is well-schooled and can hold his own in any crowd. He has a wall devoted to his numerous degrees for the various courses he completed while attending The Pawsh Dog Academy.

Our experienced instructors will help develop your relationship with your dog. Our gentle, effective methods will increase confidence and motivation while teaching your dog basic obedience exercises and some other useful stuff.

All of our classes run once per week for six weeks and cost $115 plus GST.

We are now offering Petzercise Level 1 and Level 2! This is a fun course for dogs at any level of training to build confidence and your relationship with your dog.
Payment is required to hold your spot in class.

Build your puppy’s confidence and form a healthy attitude through socialization games and basic manners from the moment you bring him home. Learn how to develop a leadership lifestyle from the very start! Proper care, housebreaking, solving problem behaviors, and basic commands are all taught.This course is composed of six stand-alone modules that can be taken in any order, so you will be able to join as soon as your pup receives it's second set of shots.

An introductory course designed to develop a leadership lifestyle, dealing with problem behaviours, how to properly examine your dog, and improving your relationship with your dog in a fun class environment. Basic commands like sit, down, stay, come, loose lead walking, leave it, on/off, heeling, and standing are taught. Your dog will learn how to properly greet people, work under external distractions, and practice impulse control. Door games and recalls are introduced and as well as a few tricks.

This class is for graduates of Grade One Obedience. It is designed to expand previously developed skills and add new behaviours that will benefit your dog in day to day life. It is more advanced than Grade One Obedience and requires knowledge of basic commands. Automatic sits, automatic heeling, more challenging recalls, controlled walking, "watch me", and accepting praise is taught. Off-lead work, working under distractions, and retrieving are focussed on.

This class is designed for graduates of Grade 2 Obedience. Designed to proof basic obedience and life skills in challenging environments. Based on the Canadian Kennel Club's Canine Good Neighbor program, you will receive a CGN handbook on week one, training by a CKC accreditied instructor and evaluator, and Week 6 will be comprised of a registered CGN test so you have a chance to earn a formal title for your pre-bred or cross-bred pooch!

This course is sure to build your dog's confidence and enhance your communication and bonding. Introduce your dog to a variety of new agility obstacles, jumps, and experiences! Then, relax with some canine massage, socialization games, and confidence building exercises. Participants must have completed Grade 1 Obedience.

Building on what was previously learned in Petzercise Level 1, it add’s more advanced obstacles, jumps, and experiences! Participants must have completed Petzercise Level 1.

This course is designed for those who desire an effortless activity that is fun and games. It is not simple or easy, but challenges you and your dog in a partnership that improves heeling and teamwork.

Enjoy getting fit with your pooch! This bootcamp is designed by a certified personal trainer, to enhance your overall health while having your pooch as your support team! Enjoy obstacles, games, and workouts that involve you and your dog!

Sundays at 12:00pm and Wednesdays at 7:00pm starting January 8th (1580 Taylor)
Each session runs 2x per week for 6 weeks (total 12 classes) cost is $199.99
Learn the fundamentals of clicker training. Learn the basic commands
and some new tricks in a fun environment. With creative methods and pinpoint timing, you will learn to shape much more complex sequences and capture discrete behaviors you never thought possible.

Advance your training or prepare to compete. Pre-novice through utility training under the tutilage of our award winning instructors. Additional times will be added based on interest.

Getting your show dog ready to hit the ring? Drop-in for some mat time
and personalized instruction. Our capable instructors have competed in all levels of competition, winning Best in Show awards during their careers as professional handlers. Drop-In cost is $15 plus GST.

One-on-one counselling with you and your dog. Great for solving specific problem behaviors or dealing with very difficult dogs that need more help than a class can provide.

Initial Consult (up to 1 hour): $100
Subsequent sessions (45 mins): $75
Kids and Dogs Level 1
A fun course for children aged 7 and up that focusses on general obedience exercises, control, relationship, games, and a introduction to dog sports. Dogs must be of an appropriate size and temperament to the child.
