My obsession with animal behavior started at about age 7. My family took me to SeaWorld in florida where I was fascinated by the tricks that the dolphins performed and swore that when I grew up I was going to be a dolphin trainer. Of course as a grade school aged child in Winnipeg, Manitoba my dolphin training career didn't take off very well.
At age 11, after saving up my allowance for months, and with a lot of help from my family, I purchased my first dog. She was a keeshond, and I named her Tessa. We attended a puppy socialization class with Suzanne and Louie Carriere, and went on to basic obedience. From there, we started to compete in obedience trials. Our breeder suggested that we try showing Tess, and introduced us to Pat Law and the Manitoba Junior Kennel Club.
The rest was history. Since then, I have had the opportunity to train with many great trainers and handlers. I have travelled through Canada and the States attending countless dog shows and winning many awards. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Zoology, as well as an accounting major. Today, I am most active on the dog show scene acting as agent to many of Canada's top show dogs. I am also working my australian shepherd "Josh" in obedience and agility.
